Beach Cleanup - Lauderdale by the Sea, FL

Participated Saturday morning in the monthly beach cleanup sponsored by the Lauderdale by the Sea Chamber of Commerce. It was good to see so many people caring about the environment and enjoying neighborly camaraderie.

 
I concentrated on the area between the pavilion and the sea oats. It's a small area maybe about 600 square feet. At first glance the area seems litter free but the picture below shows how many cigarette butts I picked up in a half hour.
